Hello! I'm Griff Grof - welcome to my blog!
This is where I will be giving regular details on my caching trips, (including
reviewing trails,) posting resources and opinion; plus giving you an exclusive
insight into my new caches and anything else caching-related which pops into my
head! So, check here for all the latest on my geocaching adventures!
So, I guess you've visited this page to find out a bit
more about me? I first found out about caching in March 2010, and have been
caching as much as I can ever since! I used to
cache with my friend (Wacky races) but now that he's moved away, it's just
me and occasionally family and friends, all with their own accounts. At first I went walking all around my local area, the
Cotswolds, but lately I've been travelling that little bit further.
Unfortunately, sometimes, life takes over, which has kept my numbers down - but, hey, for me it's about the experience! I've hidden over 100 caches of my own.
In February 2012, I took over
from bikermel76 as the administrator of the CacheWalker forum, and I often helped organise the group's events - I
am honoured to play such a role in CacheWalker! I was also one of the first
members of Cotswold Caching, thus I was promoted to 'Founder Member' status to
recognise my initial contributions - another pleasure.
In February 2015, I helped launch #UKCacheHour on Twitter, serving as admin every week for 20 months.
In November 2015, I was nominated and subsequently elected onto the GAGB Executive Committee. In November 2020, I was elected to the position of GAGB Chair. It is an immense honour to be playing a part within the GAGB.

A little more about me? Well, I recently graduated from the University of Cambridge with a degree in Geography, and I enjoy writing, cycling and speaking Spanish!
For Geocaching, I still use my Garmin Oregon
300, which I bought in 2010, and my smartphone (Cachly app).
